How It Works

After you provide an electronic copy of your database, we append additional data fields compiled from the finest sources of individual household and aggregated data available. This analysis provides deep insights into the characteristics that distinguish donors from non-donors and major giving prospects from planned giving prospects. Next, we use these data sources to construct models that address your specific fundraising objectives. With the models complete, your prospects are then analyzed against these models and assigned scores based on how closely their attributes resemble those of each model. Finally, the resulting scores for the models that you've chosen to develop will enable you to identify the best prospects in your file.

Deliverables

An experienced member of the Blackbaud Analytics team will present the ProspectPoint results to you at your location:

  • A summary report including PowerPoint® charts and tables, explanations of our findings and recommendations for using the data by identified segments for annual, major and planned giving programs
  • Custom maps that graphically represent the distribution of key prospect segments
  • Your scored file, including ratings created by our analysis, ready for uploading into The Raiser's Edge or another prospect database
  • A CD-ROM, imprinted with all of the data you submitted, as well as the appended analytical results, to be used for generating reports
  • A presentation of the final results by an experienced member of the Blackbaud Analytics team
