Blackbaud Analytics |
Background
Advocate Charitable Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Advocate
Health Care, the Chicago area's
largest health care system and the largest health care employer in Illinois.
The Foundation recently
received the results of their Blackbaud Analytics data modeling. The
letter below from Jane Crowley Griffin contains the reactions of several
of the Foundation's executives upon seeing presentations of the results.
The Letter
Dear Blackbaud Analytics staff:
First, let me thank you for making not one, but four outstanding presentations.
All of us at the Advocate
Charitable Foundation were eager to see the results of our Blackbaud
Analytics models, and the standing-room-only crowd of Advocate staff
was thrilled with the results.
You should know that our president, Heather Hutchison, had not planned
to make a formal presentation of the models to our board, but upon seeing
the results added it to the agenda. She approached me after the meeting
to say,"Jane, this is great!"
I have asked for feedback from all the Vice Presidents. Below are just
a few comments I've received so far.
Jane Crowley Griffin
Vice President, Operations
Advocate Charitable Foundation
From
Randy Varju, Vice President, Christ Medical Center
" That the models were so on-target and the numbers of upper-end
propensity candidates were large
was especially encouraging. We needed this! Thanks."
From
Mike Ploszek, Vice President, Good Shepherd Hospital
" Outstanding product...this is the first time I've been excited
about a development tool in years! It is
exactly the kind of tool that we have needed desperately. Money extremely
well spent."
From
Elizabeth Roghair, Vice President, Planned Giving
"I am especially pleased about the planned giving results. It appears
we need to consider increasing the budget for planned giving newsletters,
since the targets are far more numerous than I expected."
From
Chuck Coughlin, Vice President, Major Gifts, Illinois Masonic Medical
Center
"I thought the presentation was great and the potential of this
information is exciting. This could be
a real asset to those of us who have been trying to find these candidates
in less reliable ways. We look forward to this opportunity -- thanks
for all your work."
